Hi there! I'm a disaster management consultant and part-time professor at Fordham University's Institute of International Humanitarian Affairs. I put this podcast & blog together because I realised, after 25 years of experience advising governments and aid organisations in disaster zones all over the world, that too many people involved in making life-and-death decisions -- politicians, military personnel, 'blue-light' emergency responders, diplomats, mayors and even professional aid workers -- would benefit from a wider multi-disciplinary approach to the way they manage disaster risk. This is for them.
